Keyword Research in Niche Marketing

Tuesday, April 8th, 2008

If you have never heard of niche marketing, rest assured that it is a simple concept. Niche marketing has to do with gearing a particular marketing strategy towards a given audience. The given audience, often called a target audience, usually has something in common. Members of a target audience could all share interests in a particular product, service, or activity. They may also have ethnic qualities in common, or be around the same age group. The only thing that matters about selecting a target audience is that they have qualities in mind that matter, when it comes to their personal taste, financial decisions, and even shopping habits.

Consider the qualities about a person that molds who they are and how they spend their money, and target a specific audience based on these qualities. Once you have selected the audience and created a marketing strategy based on their needs, you have mastered niche marketing.
Keyword research is one of the methods that have proven to be most effective when it comes to creating an effective niche marketing strategy. Keyword research is done to find what the most popular needs are when it comes to a given niche. For example, if a particular person’s selected niche is athletic equipment, keyword research would be able to tell them how many types people have searched for ‘Wilson volleyballs’ in the search engines on the web. If a person has searched for a particular keyword or key phrase, it would benefit the individual (or the business or marketing company) to include the phrase ‘Wilson volleyballs’ in whatever internet tools they are using to promote that particular business.

Keyword research is beneficial to both the company and the individual or company who is doing the marketing work. It saves everybody time, and it saves valuable money that could be put towards other investments or towards other effective forms of marketing that will bring the company valuable business and increase their revenue.

Keyword research and Keyword based marketing strategies are a form of niche marketing is an effective way of grabbing the attention of people who are interested in what you have to offer. This could be due to curiosity, or a serious thought of making a monetary transaction, people who are serious about buying. If the person is just curious about the product, your marketing could be the difference between whether or not they decide to buy. OF course, deciding to buy could be in your favor, but convincing them to not only buy it but buy it from YOU is what is key.

If you are just starting out with an internet based company, keyword research may be just the right exposure that you need to be truly successful and get noticed. If you can become a powerful company on the internet, you can make the best money and capitalize on all that you have to offer, with more profit, which means more money in your pocket. So if you haven’t already, give niche marketing a try, and see the possibilities.

Niche Marketing: It is Effective!

Tuesday, April 1st, 2008

Niche marketing is an effective way of marketing because it doesn’t waste time and money marketing to an audience that simply doesn’t care about what you have to offer. Valuable money that could be put to better use is wasted this way everyday, and niche marketing is an attempt at eliminating that problem.

Niche marketing involves extensive research. It involves extensive research on a particular type of person, the type of people they run with, their interests, their needs, and where they usually go to satisfy their needs. Niche marketing research involves investigating how a person fills their needs by finding out what means they go about to find the places they go to fill those needs, and putting the company there.

With niche marketing, if the company you are marketing offers a particular need that people go to the phone book to find, it would be a good idea to have the company sponsored in the phone book.

If the company is internet based, it would be a good idea to do some keyword research and go about investigating the particular way in which internet users go about satisfying their need using the internet. Keyword research can even reveal the particular phrases that are used when people type in search queries on the popular internet search engines, such as Yahoo! Google, and MSN. Many times, this is the only strategy that internet companies use to advertise whatever it is that they have to offer, as it is the most cost effective and influential way of getting a hold of the audience that is needed to get the word out.
